Relay ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and what we do (and don't do) with it.
Information We Collect
Relay is designed to minimize data collection.
We may collect or process the following:
- Account Information
If you create an account, we use a unique identifier to associate your dashboards and settings with you.
- User Content
Relay displays and processes data you choose to connect through third-party services (such as Planning Center or other integrations). This data is used only to power features inside the app.
- App Usage Data
Basic interaction data (such as how features are used) may be collected to ensure the app functions correctly and to improve stability.
- Diagnostics
Crash reports and performance data may be collected to help identify bugs and improve the app experience.
- Audio & Transcription Data
If you enable Relay's live transcription feature, Relay processes audio captured by your device's microphone in real time to generate text and apply word or profanity filters. This may include the voices of anyone speaking within range of the microphone, not only the account holder. Relay does not retain audio recordings after a transcript is generated. If you use this feature, you are responsible for providing any notice, or obtaining any consent, required under applicable law before recording or transcribing others.
How We Use Information
We use data strictly to:
- Provide and maintain app functionality
- Sync and display your workflows and connected data
- Fix bugs and improve performance
We do not use your data for advertising or third-party marketing. If you opt in to receive news and updates (such as via a newsletter sign-up), we'll use your email only to send those updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Third-Party Services
Relay can connect to third-party platforms (such as Planning Center). When you choose to connect an account:
- You authenticate directly with that service
- Relay only accesses the data necessary to provide functionality
- Your use of those services is also subject to their own privacy policies
Relay does not sell or share your data with third parties.
If you purchase a Pro subscription, your billing information (such as name, email, and payment details) is processed by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, acting as our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy's use of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Data Storage
Data may be stored locally on your device and/or securely processed as needed to support app functionality. We do not maintain unnecessary long-term storage of user data
Diagnostics and crash data are retained for up to 90 days. Account data is retained for as long as your account is active, and is deleted upon request (see "Your Control" below).
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to help protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Tracking
Relay does not track you across apps or websites.
We do not use advertising identifiers or data brokers.
Your Control
You can:
- Disconnect third-party integrations at any time
- Request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@ondeckapps.com; we'll confirm once it's complete, typically within 30 days
- Request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) if your organization (such as a church) uses Relay to process data on behalf of your congregation or staff — email support@ondeckapps.com
Children’s Privacy
Relay is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your Rights (EEA / UK)
If you're located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, our legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in operating Relay, or your consent where required (such as opting in to updates). You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@ondeckapps.com. Where data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards
Your Rights (California)
If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and correct inaccuracies. We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring an opt-out. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
